Neymar calls Barca president more than five times, says he’s sorry for leaving

Neymar’s exit from Barcelona in the summer of 2017 remains the most expensive transfer in the history of football.

With a release clause of 222 million euros, Barcelona directors felt secured and confident that no team would pay such a huge amount.

But Paris Saint Germain proved the Barca board (along with just about everyone out there) wrong as they forked out the amount to buy Neymar out of his contract at the Camp Nou.

Now in his second season at the club, reports of a return have refused to go away.

And now the latest from El Mundo claims Neymar has been constantly calling the Barcelona president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, to discuss about returning back.

The report says Neymar’s father has called Barcelona president and several other decision makers at the club, more than five times.

First contact was made towards the last part of last season and have continued most recently.

In addition, they add that he is disappointed and sorry for leaving to PSG who do not seem to have a clear sporting project.

Meanwhile, both parties still have a legal dispute over a bonus the player was due before he left for France and Barcelona want them to withdraw the case first.
