Despite leaving Barcelona a year ago, Neymar still has close connections with the team and is still friends with some of the players he played with during his four years in Catalonia.
Players like Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Rafinha, Gerard Pique and Ivan Rakitic were among his closest. And the Brazilian makes out time to Visit them at the club’s facilities once in a while.
Last week he paid them a visit and the likes of Suarez, Rakitic and Ter Stegen were all happy to see him.
He was taking advantage of his presence in the city as a result of his obligation for his sponsors.
However, Mundo Deportivo have dropped a bombshell and said that on one of such visits, Neymar again pushed to return to Barcelona.
His relationship with the club took a dip after his exit and the legal claims he filled against the club.
But he still has some friends among the Barcelona directors and passed his desire through one of such big friends at the club.
Barcelona have completely ruled out his return and insists they have moved on since his departure. The club are not in the habit of going to resign players who left on their own accord.
For now, he still intends to join Real Madrid and that transfer deal could happen as soon as 2019.
