The transfer window for Spanish teams in LaLiga closes at midnight on August 31 and it appears there’s still some unfinished business for Barcelona.
According to a report via Marca, there’s still a chance that Ousmane Dembele could leave Barcelona this summer.
The 21-year-old has been at Barcelona for barely one year and his future has now been thrown up in the air.
He joined Barcelona last summer from Borussia Dortmund for 138 million pounds and picked up a serious hamstring injury in his opening games for the game.
Dembele’s integration into the first team was slowed down due to his battle to remain fit for the 2017/18 campaign.
With the loan move to Arsenal unsuccessful, Paris Saint Germain are now the likely destination for the winger.
However, Lionel Messi, is taking steps to make sure that Dembele remains at Barcelona.
Marca adds that Messi is ‘developing a stronger chemistry with the enigmatic winger’ and that is key to Dembele’s future.
The arrival of Malcom was certainly a concern to Dembele and his people, but he kept the ex-Bordeaux winger out of the team that played against Alaves and it would be interesting to see how he blends with Messi in attack.
It is extremely important for other attackers in the team to step up and lift the load off the shoulders of Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi.
Should Dembele form a strong partnership with Leo, then he is more likely to remain at the Camp Nou.
