Bayern Munich players send message to Real Madrid ahead of tough game

After seeing off Sevilla in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final, Bayern Munich come face-to-face with an even stronger Spanish opposition- Real Madrid.

The Bavarians have their eyes set on booking a flight to Kiev and are confident of sending Los Blancos out of the competition.

Both teams have a bit of history together and remember their last encounter where the referee appeared to take key decisions to the disadvantage of Bayern.

Thomas Muller has expressed confidence as they welcome Real Madrid to Germany on Wednesday.

“We’re going into this tie with high morale,” the striker said.

“This match comes along at an ideal time.

“We’re in great form, we are united, we have lots of quality and there is so much desire to win.”

And another member of the team to speak is Joshua Kimmich who said: “We are determined to reach the final.” “Last year we had bad luck with the refereeing.”

Bayern chief Uli Hoeness also had words, expressing how optimistic the team was feeling.

“There’s reason to be slightly optimistic,” Hoeness said.

“We know how good Real Madrid are, but we’re not bad either,” Heynckes added.

The kicks off for the game is 20:45 CET.
