Barcelona would would be having a new coach at the end of this season. Luis Enrique joined the club in 2014, and after 3 years of coaching at the highest level Enrique says he needs rest.
A couple of options have hit the media and among them is is current assistant coach Juan Carlos Unzue.
Unzue has worked at the club with both Pep Guardiola and Luis Enrique. He understands the Barcelona system and has the support of the dressing room.
Andres Iniesta supports Juan Carlos Unzue over coaching role
Andres Iniesta has now thrown his weight behind Unzue, saying: “Unzue knows everything really well. He was with us before (during Guardiola’s tenure) and is with us now.
“I am sure that he is prepared, motivated and capable.”
“The new coach must be very patient and will need a lot of luck. And whoever the technical secretary decides on will be ideal.”
