Mario Balotelli was among the few players destined for greatness after spending 3 years at Inter Milan.
The Italian was sensational in front of goal and eventually earned a big money move to Manchester City in 2010. But it now appears Barcelona were also interested in him, but couldn’t meet the financial demands.
Mario Balotelli says he almost joined Barcelona
Balotelli who now plays in France with Nice, told Radio Monte Carlo: “I almost Joined Barcelona but the problem was money because my club at the time wanted more.”
He went further to talk on his time at Manchester City adding: “Manchester City was a dream because there was a very Italian atmosphere.”
“I don’t want to talk abot Liverpool please. The team had stupid people there but fantastic fans.”
The 26-year-old has been making some really disturbing headlines during his career. His behavior has been criticized and is one of the reasons why he didn’t hit those heights.
On such criticisms, he added: “What people think don not bother me. They only see me on the pitch for 90 minutes a week. What you read in the media is trash.
“I am not someone who likes talking a lot and I have never lost my head. Now I have few friends, but they are true friends.”
