Despite what has transpired between Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain in the last days, both teams could be sitting to discuss transfers very soon.

Barcelona looks set to finally get their man if recent reports are to be believed. Marquinhos has been a long time target of Barcelona and could join them in 2019.

Marquinhos joined PSG from Roma for £26m in 2013 and ranks among the most expensive defensive.

Premier League club Chelsea have also rumored to be interested in his signature.

The 22-year-old has key to the PSG’s season, and has been offered a new Deal. PSG and the 22-year-old have been talking for months for talks have since stalled.

And latest reports say Barcelona and his representatives have talked over a possible transfer.

What Barcelona have proposed is for the Brazilian to allow his contract run out with the French club. His current deal ends in 2019 and Barcelona are willing to offer a substantial signing on fee.

So in 2019, should he maintain his performance levels, he only has to expect Barcelona’s call.

Barcelona are confident in this approach having failed to reach terms with PSG in the past.
