Barcelona meet with Hector Bellerin’s agent as transfer is imminent

Hector Bellerin left Barcelona for England in 2011 at just 16-years-old. And under the tutelage of Arsene Wenger, he has grown to become one of the best right-backs in the world.

Barcelona have been constantly linked with a move for the Spaniard. The Catalans want to resign their youngster and see him as a permanent fix to their right-back problems.

But Arsenal have been fighting back and only rewarded Bellerin with new deal recently. His new deal sees him stay at the Emirates for 5 more years with new wages of around €120,ooo-a-week.

However, Barcelona are not discouraged by that as it could only be just a negotiation strategy. SPORT reports that Barcelona sporting director, Robert Fernandez, has been in constant contact with Bellerin’s representatives since September.

Barcelona have made him their number one priority and their intention is clearer. Fernandez has once unsuccessfully negotiated with Arsenal over a possible transfer.

In principle, fresh talks with Arsenal have been set for April. The Catalans are expected to table an offer of between €35 million to €40 million for the defender.

Barcelona are not the only interested clubs as Manchester City are also interested.
