Barcelona picked up all three points at the Camp Nou against Athletic Club on Saturday. The win was well deserved even though the visitors caused a few problems in the first half for Barcelona.
Paco Alcacer got his first league goal for Barcelona and Messi doubled the lead before half-time. And in the second-half, an Aleix Vidal shot finished off the game at 3-0.
But the victory wasn’t without a price for Barcelona to pay, albeit a small one considering Rafinha would be back for the next game.
The midfielder was involved in a collision with goalkeeper Ter Stegen in the second half.
As both players approached an aerial ball, Ter Stegen’s knee caught Rafinha’s face. Barcelona team doctor Ricard Pruna rushed on the field and tried to have a look at it.
But in the end it was decided that he couldn’t continue and Rakitic came on to replace him.
