Watford and Nigerian striker, Isaac Success’s constant injuries has been attributed to witchcraft and ‘juju’

Isaac Success is one of the many Nigerian youngster whose future changed for the better after their impressive performance at the 2013 U17 African Championship in Morocco.

A series of European club began battling for his signature and his biggest transfer came last summer.

Premier League club Watford were willing to break their transfer record and splash £12.5 million on the Nigerian international.

But nobody quite expected how things have eventually turned out. He has made only one start and 7 brief appearances, while his goal against Bournemouth on October 1, remains his only goal.

The player has been hit with a series of injuries and reports back home say black magic or ‘juju’ could be responsible for his problems.

Africanfootball.com quotes a source as saying: “His people are beginning to think that it is some people who are not happy with his progress who are chasing him with evil witches.

“They are suspecting juju against the boy.”

Africa is one continent with diverse believes and the use of witchcraft is still widespread in the various countries.

Just a less than a week ago, a Rwandan player was seen removing a charm from the goalpost of the opposition that was preventing him from scoring. (Read here)
