We have all heard all sorts of superstitions relating to the game of football. Players are known to perform certain things to get them in the right mood for the game.
From listening to a particular music to wearing a certain socks, glove or boot, the list goes on.
But we hardly ever hear about Witchcraft being brought into the game. The closest we came to such stories was one false story about India thrashing Nigeria 99-1 with the help of witchcraft.
But in Rwanda, an interesting scene played out in a League game between Mukura Victory and Rayon Sport.
Mukura striker Moussa Camara, had been finding it tough in front of goal and sensed something was wrong. Spotting the goalie out of his post, he raced to quickly remove the ‘juju’ (charm) kept in the goal.
The Goalkeeper and his defenders all chased Camara, who successful got the charm to the touchline. What makes it even more interesting is the fact that within minutes, Camara was on the scoresheet.
