Kim English picked up another forward today with Mouhamed Lamine Mbaye verbally committing to George Mason. The 6’8″ forward is a native of Senegal and had been playing most recently in Colorado. He chose George Mason over Rutgers, New Mexico, Colorado, and some others.
One big reason he chose Mason was he liked how they play to use him:
“They said I’m going to come in and play like a big, but also be able to shoot the ball, ” he said. “When I get the rebound I can push the ball and they are going to help me get better.
Mbaye will be a freshman this upcoming season and will help fill out depth for Mason up front as Greg Calixte (Bryant) and AJ Wilson (South Carolina) have transferred elsewhere.
