Fresh off the news of Ian Boyd Returning for a fifth season, junior Goanar Mar has entered the transfer portal per Steven Goff:

Unlike most transfer news, this one is just sad to me. Mar was once a promising freshman who looked poised to be a star at Mason after averaging 10.9 points per game and shooting .357 on three-pointers in 2017-18. He put up those numbers while being forced to play up front and lot of times at the five due to Daniel Relvao leaving the program. Unfortunately we never saw that type of production ever again from him and he struggled to do much of anything on the court as his minutes steadily declined. He did suffer some injuries but ultimately never looked comfortable after that freshman season
