The ‘Outlander’ Prequel Series: All You Need To Know
According to reports, there will be a prequel series to Outlander on Starz. Blood of My Blood is the title of Outlander’s prequel series. Ellen MacKenzie and Brian Fraser, the parents of Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan), would reportedly be the focus of the upcoming drama series. The screenplay for Outlander: Blood of My Blood will be written by Matthew B. Roberts. For the prequel series as well, he will direct and executive produce, in addition to writing.

Ronald D. Moore will also serve as an executive producer on the prequel series with Maril Davis. The new Outlander series, titled Blood of My Blood, will be produced by Sony Pictures Television. Karen Bailey, Starz’s Executive Vice President of Original Programming, will oversee the prequel. Starz’s President of Original Programming Kathryn Busby recently stated, “Outlander is a compelling drama that has captivated the hearts of its viewers worldwide.”
“We are delighted to peel back the layers of this vivid universe to tell our audience the origin of where it all began,” Busby said further. In this new incarnation, Matthew, Maril, and Ronald will bring their excellent vision and creativity to the table, and we can’t wait to see what happens.”
What’s The Story Behind ‘Outlander’?
Outlander is a historical drama television series based on Diana Gabaldon’s ongoing novel series of the same name. The show’s creator is Ronald D. Moore. Claire Randall (played by Caitriona Mary Balfe), a married Second World War military nurse in Scotland in 1945, finds herself transported back in time to 1743 in the historical drama, which revolves around her life.
Jamie Fraser, a gorgeous Highlander, falls in love with Claire, and they get married (played by Sam Heughan). His fabricated Clan Fraser of Lovat is a Tacksman in Gabaldon’s fictionalized version of Lovat’s fanciful Clan Fraser of Lovat.
