Georgia to play Alabama in College Football National Championship Game

The Georgia Bulldogs will face the Alabama Crimson Tide in the most awaited national championship game on Monday, start time at 8:00 PM ET, at Mercedez-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, GA.

The Alabama Crimson Tide pulled off a 24-6 upset against the No. 1 Clemson Tigers to secure another shot for the college football title game. Alabama’s defense delivered the best by shutting down the offensive juggernaut of Clemson. Surprisingly, Alabama just allowed only 168 total yards against the high-powered offense of Clemson.

Jalen Hurts threw for 120 yards and two touchdowns, and added 40 yards on the ground. Damien Harris had 77 yards in 19 carries. Calvin Ridley posted 39 yards and a touchdown in four receptions while Henry Huggs had 25 yards in two catches.

The SEC Champion Georgia Bulldogs overwhelmed the Oklahoma Sooners, 54-48, in 2OT to advance to the Championship Game. It was one of the most thrilling games of the season as the Bulldogs rallied after trailing 31-17 at halftime. Jake Fromm completed 20 of 29 passes for 210 yards and two touchdowns.

Georgia did the damage on the ground through Sony Michel who posted 181 yards and three touchdowns while Nick Chubb complimented 145 yards and two touchdowns in 14 receptions.

This is also a match betwen Nick Saban and his former defensive coordinator, now Georgia head coach Kirby Smart.

Currently, Alabama is favored by 4.5 points to win the title.
