The Denver Broncos head into the fourth quarter up 13-12 over the Indianapolis Colts. Can they pull off the upset?

The Denver Broncos got the ball first to start the second half. On their first play, Joe Flacco went deep to Courtland Sutton for a 25-Yard pass down the sideline to midfield.

After a five yard gain on first down for Phillip Lindsay, Flacco faked to Lindsay on second down and rolled out where he found Noah Fant over the middle for a first down on a seven yard catch and run.

Lindsay burst through the middle on the next carry for a quick eleven yard gain and a first down. From the Colts 28 yard line, Lindsay fought his way through for a nice gain, but an illegal shift penalty negated the play.

On first and 15, the Colts jumped to give the yards right back. Flacco went deep to Sutton in the end zone, but Sutton was basically tackled on the play to give the Broncos the ball at the Colts four yard line for a 27 yard penalty.

One play later, Royce Freeman burst through an open hole for nearly an untouched touchdown to put the Broncos up two scores.

Broncos 13, Colts 3.

The Colts offense responded well to the Broncos touchdown drive with a methodical 13-play drive, but Denver’s defense dialed up a couple of blitzes in back-to-back plays to force the 45-yard field goal attempt that Adam Vinatieri booted through.

Broncos 13, Colts 6.

The Broncos offense answered the call for a big drive the same way they have all season on their next possession. With a three and out.

On their next drive, the Colts offense picked up where they left off on their previous drive with some momentum. In two plays, they were already across midfield.

Jack Doyle picked up two receptions on this drive for huge gains. His second put the Colts down to the Broncos 25-yard line. Mike Purcell committed a roughing the passer penalty two plays later to gave the Colts a first and goal from the 10 yard line where Marlon Mack would run in nearly untouched to apparently tie the game up.

Adam Vinatieri would hook the PAT wide left.

Broncos 13, Colts 12.

A holding call on Andy Janovich opened up the next Broncos drive. Two short underneath throws set the Broncos up with a third and 10. Flacco, from the shotgun, went deep to Courtland Sutton who was interfered with for the first down.

A flea flicker went to Fred Brown for a 16 yard gain into Colts territory on the very next play. And they have a scoring opportunity heading into the fourth quarter.
