The Denver Broncos will host the Chicago Bears in Week 2. Both teams are coming off ugly losses against divisional foes in Week 1.
The Denver Broncos are coming off an ugly 24-16 road loss to the Oakland Raiders and now have their home opener against the Chicago Bears to contend with. The Bears are coming off an ugly loss themselves, except theirs came at home in a 10-3 defeat to the Green Bay Packers.
For the Broncos, they just need to execute the game plan better. The defense looked confused and out of position a lot against the Raiders, while on offense they shot themselves in the foot often when in scoring range. Head Coach Vic Fangio noted those issues and more this week.
“If we can just get our points when they are there to be gotten,” Fangio said on Tuesday. “Not get sacked or penalized out of field goal range. Make a play in the passing game. I think we only had two passes defensed, not counting batted balls by the rushers. We got one from Bradley [Chubb], I know. We have to make some plays in pass defense. We have to shore up the run defense a little bit better.”
A win this week would allay a lot of the concerns fans are having about this team after the first game.
Game time is on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at 2:25 Mile High time at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado.
