Quarterback Kyle Sloter did everything he needed to do to earn a 53-man roster spot to start the 2017 regular season.

The big winners in the Denver Broncos dominating 30-2 victory over the Arizona Cardinals came from a a few guys desperate for a roster spot.

According to PFF, the big three are all guys who were clearly on the bubble.

• QB Kyle Sloter, 88.4 overall grade
• G Michael Schofield, 85.6 overall grade
• DI Shelby Harris, 81.8 overall grade
• HB Juwan Thompson, 81.6 overall grade
• DI Shakir Soto, 79.7 overall grade

Did these guys do enough to earn a roster spot?

Schofield, especially, was fighting for his roster life on Thursday. Personally, he should get the nod over Ty Sambrailo, but it just seems like Sambrailo is secretly the beloved son of John Elway or something.

Kyle Sloter and Shelby Harris are two other players who should absolutely find their way onto the final 53-man roster this weekend.

QB KYLE SLOTER, 88.4 OVERALL GRADE

Outside taking an awful sack early in the game for a safety, Sloter was nearly flawless on 26 dropbacks. Remarkable in working the middle of the field, he completed 9 of 11 passes for 151 yards and a touchdown, including 5 of 6 for 103 and a touchdown on throws over 10 yards. His stat line could have been better if it weren’t for two drops, but he averaged 8.9 yards per attempt when under pressure and had an impressive 102.8 passer rating when blitzed.

After the first series, Sloter was in control and in command for much of the game. He looked every bit the promising young quarterback that we had all hoped Paxton Lynch would have been - and wasn't.

DL SHELBY HARRIS, 81.8 OVERALL GRADE

While Harris’ traditional stat line isn’t all that impressive, recording just one tackle and one assist, the fourth-year veteran was disruptive rushing the passer, getting three hurries on just 15 pass rush snaps. While he did have a missed tackle in the game, Harris was stout against the run, holding his gaps and has had a dominant preseason racking up three sacks, nine hurries and nine defensive stops.

Harris has been a force all preseason. When the Broncos were desperate to find some bodies to fill the defensive line after multiple injuries it was Harris who stepped up and made the plays.
