Broncos showcase new menu items and game-day information for fans

There are some notable changes that fans will see this year at the Stadium that still doesn’t have a new name.

Hope springs eternal this time of year. Every team has a chance for the Lombardi Trophy, save for the Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Jets and Kansas City Chiefs.

When it comes to the first home game of the season, fans feel that tinge of excitement amp up. No matter how many times you’ve been to the stadium, the first visit of the season always brings about a giddy feeling, even if it is a preseason game.

With that in mind, there are some notable changes that fans will see this year at the stadium that still doesn’t have a new name. From the game-day festivities to food, the Denver Broncos have made changes to improve the fan experience.

Menu Items

Let’s start with the food. From the release the Broncos sent earlier this week, fans will enjoy several new and signature menu items this season including:

Blitz Burger ($10)

Locally sourced beef from Gold Canyon Ranch, Colo. The half-pound burger starts with two fresh quarter-pound all natural beef patties, topped with American cheese and a freshly prepared house-made “United in Orange” Bacon Onion Jam created in collaboration with Breckenridge Brewery. The burger is enjoyed on a locally baked Challah bun.

Chicken Wings ($8 - 6 pc; $12 - 10 pc)

In partnership with Breckenridge Brewery and TABASCO®, the following four unique sauces (Classic Buffalo, Sweet Chili & TABASCO®, Honey Sriracha BBQ and Breckenridge Mango Mosaic Habanero) are now available. Wings are served with Ranch or Blue Cheese dipping sauce and celery.

Garlic Parmesan Ranch Fries ($6)

Crispy fries, hand tossed and coated with a unique blend of Ranch Seasoning and Garlic Parmesan sauce.

Street Taco Trio ($9)

Building off the success of the Street Taco Trio, in collaboration with Breckenridge Brewery, each trio of tacos comes complete with choice of beef barbacoa or seasoned chicken, cilantro-lime aioli, pickled onion, fresh jalapenos and a new “United in Orange Pale Ale” pickled slaw. The slaw preserves traditional pickling flavors while adding a touch of zing.

Denver Chili Cheese Dog ($6)

The classic stadium dog smothered with spicy nacho cheese and a helping of Schlereth’s “Stinkin Good Green Chili.”

Increased Pizza Variety ($7.50)

Enhancing our popular giant slice of pizza line-up, two new pizza toppings—Colorado green chili chicken and pork sausage—have been added to the menu.

Egg Rolls ($3)

A new addition to the Teriyaki Bowl Concept, crispy pork and vegetable eggrolls served with Hot Mustard, Sweet and Sour, and Soy Sauce.

Gyros ($9)

Traditional Greek Style Gyros served on warmed Pita bread with sweet red onions, cucumbers and a creamy Tzatziki sauce.

Healthier Menu Items

In addition, new healthy options have been added to the menu and include:

Gluten Free Vegetable Snack Trays ($8)

Carrots, celery and sugar snap peas accompanied by hummus dip or ranch dip.

Gluten Free Turkey Hoagie ($9)

A locally produced gluten free bun with tender smoked turkey breast, cheddar cheese slices and condiments.

Specialty Entrée Salads ($9)

Featuring cranberry walnut, Italian chopped and organic spring feta, these salads are all-in-one packaged and will be available at all Mile High Pie and Fan Stands locations throughout the stadium.

Beer

United in Orange 2.0

United in Orange 2.0 Pale Ale is an exciting collaboration between Breckenridge Brewery, Centerplate and the Broncos. Brewed with orange juice and orange peel, it salutes the Orange & Blue.

Mandarina hops reveal aromas of tangerine and citrus which complement the juicy orangeness. Additional hops provide balance to the subtle sweet character of pale malt and orange juice. Its crisp, hoppy finish cleanses the palate.

Fans can find the United in Orange 2.0 on tap on each level of the stadium and in the signature Breckenridge Brewery bar in the South Stands.

In terms of the game day experience, here’s what fans can expect this season. This starts with the Green Bay Packers game on Saturday. From the Broncos’ release:

New for the 2017 season

Fireworks Cues: Pyro will be fired from the South scoreboard two hours before kickoff to signify to fans that gates are open. Fireworks will also go off one hour prior to kickoff to alert fans to enter the stadium.

Fight Song Lyrics: Words will be displayed on the video board and printed in the Gameday Magazine for fans to follow along.

Lactation Suite: The Broncos and official healthcare partner UCHealth have installed a Mamava lactation suite located in the main concourse inside Gate 6. Please visit the Guest Relations booth behind Section 121 to receive the entry code.

Rose Andom Center

The Rose Andom Center is Denver’s nationally recognized Family Justice Center and focuses on bringing together community organizations and government agencies under one roof to provide for the needs of individuals and families affected by domestic violence. The team’s partnership with the Rose Andom Center will be highlighted during a pregame video and in the gameday program, and staff and representatives from partner agencies will be in attendance.
