Report: Utah offensive tackle Garett Bolles will visit with the Broncos this week

The Broncos continue to visit with the top offensive tackles in this year's class.

According to 9NEWS Denver's Mike Klis, the Denver Broncos will hold a pre-draft visit with Utah's offensive tackle, Garett Bolles.

This shouldn't come as a huge surprise since the Broncos have been working out/visiting with a bunch of the top tackles in the recent days/weeks. They recently visited with Alabama's Cam Robinson and Temple's Dion Dawkins as well, so makes sense that they will have Bolles in for a visit.

The 6'5", 297lb Bolles has been a popular pick mocked to the Broncos as he is considered the top offensive tackle prospect in this year's class and the Broncos are currently lacking a starter at the left tackle position. They previously met with Bolles during March's NFL Scouting Combine, and are now hosting the 25-year old tackle for a visit. So I'd assume there is some level of interest there.

According to NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah, he has Bolles as his 28th ranked player in the draft.

Bolles started for only one year at offensive tackle for the Utes. He has good size and length for the position. In pass protection, he is quick out of his stance and bends naturally. He has a sharp, tight punch and a firm anchor. He does get caught oversetting at times, which produces some inside pressure on the quarterback. He has good football awareness considering his limited experience. In the run game, he has knock-off power and shows some nastiness to finish to and through the whistle. He does get overextended at times, but I love his tenacity. Overall, Bolles has some things to clean up but he has starting left tackle ability.

CBS Sport's Draft guru Dane Brugler has Bolles ranked as his second-ranked offensive tackle in the draft and the 38th overall prospect in the draft. However, Josh Norris of NBC Sports has Bolles ranked as his sixth overall prospect in the 2017 NFL Draft. So the opinions on Bolles remain all over the board among many draftniks.

If the Broncos want Bolles, they will need to keep their fingers crossed that he will even make it out of the top 10. Teams like the Carolina Panthers, Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, Jacksonville Jaguars, and the L.A. Chargers have all worked out and visited with Bolles recently. Keep in mind that the left tackle position is a highly valued position and this draft is not very deep at all at that position, so we could see some teams reaching for Bolles, Robinson, and Ramczyk.

I'd expect that Bolles is likely high on the Broncos draft board for many reasons. One reason is that Bolles mentality fits exactly what they want up front. Head Coach Vance Joseph said he wants to get "tougher and meaner" in the trenches. That is exactly what Bolles is.

Like McCaffrey, Bolles odds of being there at pick 20 are starting to look very low, but nonetheless, they will get to know the very athletic tackle prospect a little better this week and possibly decide if he's worth trading up for.
