The Afternoon Drive caught up with Trevor Siemian and talked about his injury, Tony Romo, and more. Check it out.
Somewhat lost amidst all of the offseason talk around Tony Romo, Paxton Lynch, free agency, and the upcoming draft, is last year’s starter and team captain, Trevor Siemian.
Eric Goodman and Les Shapiro of the Afternoon Drive had a chance to talk to Trevor and get his thoughts on all the quarterback talk this off-season, the majority of which has not centered on him.
Check out their comments starting around the 5:45 mark.
One interesting note that did pop up was that Siemian confirmed he expects to be a full participant in OTAs when they start up in April, as he continues to recover from shoulder surgery. This is consistent with what Vance Joseph said a few weeks ago, but is noteworthy to hear it from Siemian himself.
Last note I’ll add: I appreciated that when asked about the Tony Romo rumors, etc., his response was that it was just “business as usual” in the NFL. He said one thing he’s learned going into his 3rd year is that every year you have to compete for your job, and he’s looking forward to doing that again this year.
We knew it would be, but it continues to shape into an intriguing off-season at the quarterback position.
May the best man win.
