Fortnite has taken over many consoles, computers and mobile devices over the past year, but now it will visit the sneaker world with a collaboration with Jordan Brand.

This marks the first collaboration between Fortnite and a sports company. Although we will have to wait for the official unveiling, according to Front Office Sports on Twitter, Jordan Brand said the following:

“According to Jordan Brand spokesperson, the collaboration will allow them to connect across virtual and physical worlds and unlock access to some of our most coveted shoes, the Air Jordan 1.”

Starting on May 22nd, there will be an in-game event that will take place where you will be able to unlock cosmetic items. However from the above quote, it does seem like a special Fortnite x Air Jordan 1 could be unlocked, or at the minimum, early access. If this is happening, more than likely you will have to complete a set of challenges.

We have also heard rumors that a cosmetic set will be available which could include skins, back blings, pickaxes, sprays and more.

There is a huge update scheduled for May 22nd, 2019 at 1AM PST. Most speculate that this will be the rollout of the in-game event. Epic Games – Fortnite had also stated that the update will be big, so expect a longer downtime period.
