This past Sunday, over 13,000 Nike runners took to the streets from coast to coast as a part of Nike’s #ChooseGo campaign– a global creative campaign empowering everyday athletes to get up, get out, and go.
Historic runs took place in Los Angeles, where the run shot down the CA-90 freeway for the first time since the 1984 Olympics, and New York, where Nike Hosted its first run in the city over 10 years.
Nike’s #ChooseGo 10K in Los Angeles was led by ‘84 Olympic gold medal
marathon winner Joan Benoit and a portion of the proceeds from the race benefited local community organizations throughout the Los Angeles area.
In New York, Nike Athletes including Victor Cruz of the NFL and ballerina Isabella Boylston attended the GO NYC 5K and Diplo, the world renowned DJ, provided entertainment to runners following the race.
