It was just last week that we gave you a first look at the SPoT x Nike SB Dunk High Gasparilla that we is now scheduled to release in just a couple of days.
As noted before, the inspiration behind this colorway of the classic high-top SB Dunk traces back to a Spanish pirate by the name of Jose Gaspar. Gaspar roamed the Gulf of Mexico and the Spanish Main from his base in southwest Florida during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The sneaker comes in a combination of black on the upper with bright pops of color on the outsole, ankle, and insole. Some eye-catching features include custom embroidered sabers on the toe box and a custom Jolly Roger graphic from artist Sean Cliver as the tongue tag.
The sneaker will also come in a special box with some added goodies that include a postcard telling the story of Gasparilla, Gasparilla beads and a Nike SB branded velvet pouch with extra red laces. You can purchase the SPoT x Nike SB Dunk High Gasparilla on February 13th at select Nike SB retail stores as well as online at SPoTTampa.com/Nike.

Nike SB hasn’t released a noteworthy collaboration in quite some time but this project with Skatepark of Tampa changes that. Love the inspiration behind the colorway and the small details that make up the shoe.
