Welcome to the Splash Zone, the quickest way to get your day started off right. We bring you a rundown of Miami Dolphins news from the last 24 hours.

The Dolphins were able to fill a need in the second round by selecting Xavien Howard after trading up four spots. Howard fits the Dolphins height and weight measurables. Howard will compete with Jamar Taylor, Bobby McCain, and Tony Lippett.

The Dolphins surprised everyone by also trading back into the third round to select wide receiver Leonte Carroo. Not sure what they were thinking with this pick. Dolphins were already stacked at receiver.
