Wayne Rooney has been left out of the Manchester United squad for Thursday’s Europa League clash with Feyenoord.

The 30-year-old, whose performances have been questioned this season, has not been included in Jose Mourinho‘s 20-man travelling squad for the Group A match in Rotterdam on Thursday night.

Antonio Valencia and Luke Shaw have also been rested, while Henrikh Mkhitaryan misses out through injury after aggravating a thigh problem in the Manchester derby at the weekend.

There are spots for Timothy Fosu-MensahMemphis Depay and Marcos Rojo as Mourinho prepares to ring the changes ahead of this weekend’s Premier League clash with Watford, but out-of-favour centre-back Phil Jones has not been selected
