Let's get to the Philadelphia Eagles links ...
Rueben Randle 'confident' he'll be a starter for Eagles - CSN Philly
Perhaps Randle didn’t rise to the level he would have hoped in New York, but upon his arrival in Philadelphia, he becomes the most experienced and accomplished outside receiver on the team. And he expects to start. "I feel confident that I will be [a starter]," Randle said. "That’s for me to go out there and prove." Prove is the operative word. Randle comes to the Eagles on a one-year deal that has the potential to be worth just over $3 million if he hits all his incentives, but guarantees just $500,000. Randle said he was surprised about the lack of market for him, but it’s "over with now." For the team, it’s a low-risk, high-reward deal.
Couple of New Guys - Iggles Blitz
It is fair to compare the Steve Smith signing of 2011 with the Randle addition. Smith was bitter about not getting the offer he wanted and he came to Philly with a terrible attitude. He also wasn’t healthy. There weren’t many passes to go around, with DeSean, Maclin and Avant being the top 3 pass catchers. That signing was a disaster. Randle is healthy. He is joining a team with one proven WR, Jordan Matthews, and several other young players. Randle has a lot to prove and he will have a chance to do it. The signing may not pan out, but this one does make more sense and feels like it has a better to succeed.
New Eagles WR Randle wants to prove he's not an underachiever - Daily News
"I wish I could" pinpoint why results never matched expectations, Randle said. "I just had to do the best with the opportunity that was given to me. I feel like I could have done more, as a player. Hopefully, I can get that job done here." Last December, Randle went on the radio and said it was "definitely frustrating" seeing the ball go so much to Beckham. When reporters relayed this to Coughlin, he said, "Well, I would take full advantage of the ones that I do have, before I would talk about opportunities."
Fan-Demonium: Cornering The Market - PE.com
I think Howie Roseman, Doug Pederson and Jim Schwartz would love to take a top-shelf talent with the No. 8 overall pick in the draft. The question is whether anyone outside of Jalen Ramsey is worth a pick that high. Ramsey will be long gone by the time the Eagles select. Vernon Hargreaves is the No. 2 corner for just about everyone and is a possible target. Hargreaves is 5-10 and 204 pounds. You would prefer to spend a top 10 pick on a corner who is six-feet tall or more. Hargreaves ran 4.50 at the Combine. That's solid speed, but you would prefer him to be a bit faster. Put on the game tape and you'll mostly be impressed. Hargreaves shows explosiveness and great movement skills. There are times when he is physical and will hit and tackle. You will also see him get beat deep a time or two. You will see him struggle against the run in some games.

Trading away Byron Maxwell was a move that cleared a ton of space and distanced the Eagles from the Chip Kelly era, but it leaves the team with a hole in its defense opposite Eric Rowe. Norman gives the Eagles a top-notch cornerback on one side of the field, and as a bonus Norman in the NFC East means battles with Odell Beckham, Jr. twice a year.
