Here’s a breakdown of the snap counts from the Philadelphia Eagles’ 41-33 win over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII.
Most of the entire offensive line Played for the entire game. Stefen Wisniewski missed a few snaps due to injury but he wasn’t out for long.
Alshon Jeffery played a nice amount of snaps.
The Eagles’ running back rotation was nearly dead even split between three players. LeGarrette Blount and Corey Clement played the exact same amount of snaps. Jay Ajayi only played one more snap than both of them. The Eagles didn’t deviate from the rotation they liked so much. And it paid off.
Ajayi: 9 carries for 57 yards (6.3 average)
Blount: 14 carries for 90 yards (6.4 average) and 1 rushing touchdown
Clement: 3 carries for 8 yards (2.7 average) — 4 receptions for 100 yards and 1 receiving touchdown
Trey Burton threw a touchdown pass on one of his 18 snaps. Turned out to be a pretty big play. I hear they’re calling it The Philly Special.
The Eagles’ starting secondary played the entire game. No wonder they looked tired. In addition to that, third safety Corey Graham and nickel corner Patrick Robinson got a lot of playing time. Lots of nickel and dime in this game.
Fletcher Cox only sat out for the eight snaps. The Eagles wisely managed his workload during the regular season so they could unleash him more in the playoffs. Cox didn’t notch a sack but he did have two hits on Tom Brady.
Limited playing time for Mychal Kendricks and Dannell Ellerbe reflects how much the Eagles were NOT using their base defense.
Jake Elliott missed an extra point but he nailed all his field goals, including the 46-yarder to put the Eagles up by eight points with 1:05 remaining in the game. Please work on the PAT attempts in the offseason, Jake.

The following players were ruled inactive prior to the game: Sidney Jones, Destiny Vaeao, Will Beatty, Wendell Smallwood, Marcus Johnson, Elijah Qualls, Steven Means.
