Who should the Eagles be interested during this college All Star Game?

The  All Star Circuit has begun for senior NFL draft prospects. Graduated players will have a chance to spend a week in practices with NFL coaches before playing in an exhibition game. This week's game is the Shrine Game down in Florida. While it does not have the star power of the Senior Bowl, there are notable prospects to keep an eye on. Even better, Eagles coach Duce Staley is one of those coaching during the week, so the Eagles will have first hand experience with a lot of these prospects.

• I'Tavius Mathers, RB, Middle Tennessee State: I'Tavius Mathers transferred from Ole Miss after a few years in Oxford and totally blew up in his one season playing for the Blue Raiders. Mathers is a bit smaller at 5-11, 195, but he is an excellent dual purpose back who posted nearly 2200 yards of offense and 20 touchdowns this season. He is an agile back and Duce Staley will be intrigued by his versatility.
• Elijah McGuire, RB, Louisiana-Lafayette: Staley should also have close watch on the Ragin' Cajun senior who posted three straight 1000 yard seasons down in Louisiana. McGuire is also a bit smaller, but he is a quick player and an excellent receiver out of the backfield.
• Alex Kozan, OL, Auburn: A big reason Auburn consistently has success running the ball is the long time presence of Alex Kozan on their line. The 6-3, 310 pounder is a fantastic run blocker who has intelligence and great strength.
• Avery Gennesy, OT, Texas A&M: TAMU consistently produces first round linemen and Gennesy is their best bet to do so again this year. The senior tackle has immense size at 6-5, 315 pounds and is very, very strong. Gennesy needs to improve his technique, but he is an impressive physical specimen who should catch a coaches eye.
• Kermit Whitfield, WR, Florida State: Whitfield was never very productive during his time at FSU, but the tiny (5-8, 175) receiver has speed for days that may intrigue NFL teams. Whitfield, at the least, could be using his speed in the NFL as a kick returner, but maybe a team can utilize it as a weapon on offense.
• Jalen Robinette, WR, Air Force: Jalen Robinette was basically the lone passing threat on a run heavy Air Force team. Robinette had insane yards per catch numbers as Air Force loved using his size (6-4, 220) and speed down the field. While Robinette is very raw due to the offense he comes from, a team could absolutely fall in love with the potential he brings to the field.
• Austin Carr, WR, Northwestern: Austin Carr is one of my favorite later round receivers. While he will not amaze with speed or any type of flashy athletic ability, Carr is a very dependable, physical player. The 6-1, 200 pound wide out was one of the most relatively productive receivers in the country, accounting for 39% of Northwestern's passing yards and over 50% of their receiving touchdowns. Both figures are among the best in the class. Carr is sure handed and a very good route runner, making him an attractive mid rounds target for teams in need of receiver depth. *wink wink nudge nudge*
• Michael Roberts, TE, Toledo: Michael Roberts is one of my favorite players in this class, period. Roberts has great size at 6-5, 270 pounds and uses it incredibly well as a blocker. More impressive than his blocking, however, is his incredible receiving ability. While Roberts might not have OJ Howard speed or Evan Engram finesse, Roberts has great hands and the ability to pick up yards after the catch with his strength. Roberts scored on 36% of his catches which is unheard of for any pass catchers, let alone tight ends. The next highest TD% among top tight ends is 14.6% from Bucky Hodges. That's right, Roberts is scoring at more than 100% the rate of other top tight ends this year. That is absurd.
• Channing Stribling, CB, Michigan: Michigan had a pair of good cornerbacks this year, but Stribling got less publicity than his partner, Jourdan Lewis. Stribling is intriguing because his 6-2, 185 pound frame is more conducive to what the NFL wants from cornerbacks nowadays. Stribling has good ball skills to match his size, so he should be turning a lot of heads this week.
• Fabian Moreau, CB, UCLA: Fabian Moreau is another solid cornerback who should have a nice week of practice. The six foot, 205 corner has very good quickness and is a very adept man cover corner. I am sure the Eagles will be interested.
• Arion Penton, CB, Missouri: In a stacked cornerback class, even an SEC corner with five interceptions and 12 PBUs goes under the radar. Penton is a playmaking cornerback who is also pretty physical. The only issue that nFL teams may have is he is undersized at 5-9, 195. If he can show this week that his quickness, physicality and ball skills are enough to overcome his size, he could majorly boost his draft stock.
• Ejuan Price, EDGE, Pitt: One of the most productive pass rushers in the country, Ejuan Price has sacked the quarterback nearly 25 times in the last two years. He is shorter at six foot, but he is an incredibly well built 250 pounds. The muscle hamster pass rusher has incredible quickness off the line to match with a great motor and he should have a very good week in practice to show he is a lot more than short.
• Deatrich Wise, EDGE, Arkansas: The opposite of Ejuan Price is Arkansas' 6-5, 270 pound defensive linemen. Wise has great size and strength, but is not quick twitch or dynamic pass rusher. He is an excellent run defender with a great motor and that should land him on a defense where he could play strong side defensive end in base packages.
• Tedric Thompson, Safety, Colorado: Tedric Thompson was one of the most productive defensive backs in the country this year. He had 23 passes defended including seven interceptions and also notched three tackles for a loss. Now, the six foot, 200 pound safety is not the biggest hitter, but his ball skills over the top of a defense should be very attractive to a lot of NFL teams.
