Neville believes the mentality of Mourinho’s signings is now changing the club’s culture.
“What I would say about United is that a couple of seasons ago you could be immensely critical of their transfer policy being all over the place,” Neville told Sky Sports. “They were signing players that shouldn’t have been at the club and didn’t fit the profile of a Manchester United player.
“What I’ve seen in this last 12 months are the players they have signed in my mind, Pogba, Bailly, Matic and Lukaku fit the profile of a United player – the strength, the personality, the character.
“I’m a lot happier from a United point of view as a fan that the club seems to be back on track and Jose’s had a big part to play in that because he does do well in the transfer market. He did well at Chelsea as well.
“Even the shifting out of Depay and Schneiderlin last January for £45m was business that United haven’t done in the past.”
