Customers have asked if they can download match videos from Youtube. Even though YouTube doesn’t seem to support downloading natively on its platform, there are third party apps that will do the job. The app we’ve used is 4K Video Downloader, Windows edition though there are other tools out there that might do the job just as well or better.
The reasons we like 4K Video Downloader are:
Free trial for testing most features
Attractive, simple, reliable, functional user interface
Highly configurable without being confusing
Important features are easily accessed
Automatically downloads highest quality video version
Specify desired video format
Supports simultaneous downloads
Can paste multiple Youtube Urls at one time
Import a file of YouTube URLs (requires upgrade to paid version)
Doesn’t require a YouTube login for downloading Public or Unlisted videos
Available for PC and Mac
One thing we don’t like about 4K Video Downloader is that the subtitle download feature doesn’t appear to work. This is important to us because the Takedown scoring transcript is stored on YouTube as subtitles and getting access to that information in the downloaded video might be valuable to our users. We’ve reached out to the publisher on this problem.
If you need a list of all your YouTube video URLs for importing into 4K VIdeo Downloader or any other tool, let us know by sending a message to [email protected].
Note: we have no relationship with 4K Video Downloader other than as a user of their product.
