Visiting Uga tomorrow #GoDawgs— Owen Pappoe (@opfreak15) July 29, 2016
The Class of 2016 have yet to play their first collegiate snaps, and the class of 2017 won't sign on the dotted line for another six months. But in the fast-paced world of college football recruiting coaches have already moved past those groups and are already hunting the players who will be senior leaders for the class of 2022.
One such player who's already received offers from much of the SEC will be in Athens this weekend. Grayson linebacker Owen Pappoe is visiting Georgia to help wind down an eventful summer, one which saw him becomethe first rising sophomore to ever earn an invite to Nike's prestigious The Opening prospect camp.
Kirby Smart and his staff will have a fight on their hands to sign Pappoe, but doing so could be well worth the years of effort required. The 6'0, 200 standout was all over the field for one of the most talented programs in Georgia's highest classification. He could eventually end up playing his current outside linebacker slot, or keep growing and eventually play with his hand in the dirt. Observe:
Pappoe is only one of a dozen Highly Recruited players who'll suit up for new Grayson head coach Jeff Herron this fall, including 2017 Bulldog commit Breon Dixon.
