NFL draft day two: TV schedule, how to watch, and UGA player projections

Day two of the Nfl Draft is upon us with live television coverage beginning at 7:00 p.m.on ESPN and NFL Network and streaming on WatchESPN. So last night was . . .interesting. It’s safe to say that Tonight is unlikely to deliver the type of fireworks Thursday delivered, though hopefully it will deliver some more Bulldogs finding out where they’ll begin their pro football careers. Leonard Floyd got the ball rolling last night by becoming the second Bulldog in as many years to become a top 10 pick.

Tonight brings rounds two and three, traditionally the sweet spot for finding really talented players at a discount to first round prices. A couple of UGA stars have a chance to hear their names called tonight. Jordan Jenkins is the most likely Red and Black player to get a phone call, with multiple mock drafts slotting him in the third round and a couple noting him as a possible second round selection. Malcolm Mitchell could work his way into the third round if a team is satisfied with his health and was sufficiently moved by his recent Steve Harvey appearance. Mitchell surprised scouts by running a 4.45 forty at the NFL combine, and clearly has elite athleticism and great hands. He seems like the kind of player a team could fall in love with and take based on upside and character.

Another guy who falls in that category is tailback Keith Marshall, who I don’t expect to be picked tonight. But after his head-turning combine performance somebody’s going to take a shot with him. It’s just a question of how early they choose to do so.

We’ll pop back in with any major news regarding Bulldog players. Or if video surfaces of Laremy Tunsil bruning down a South Beach night club for rent money. Whichever. Until later . . .

Go ‘Dawgs!!!!
