Second Half Open Thread: So far, so explosive.

The Bulldog Offense has a ton of weapons, and it’s using every last one of them.

Things have gone according to plan thus far for the Georgia Bulldogs, who lead the Austin Peay Governors 38-0 at the half. A few items of note:

Tyson Campbell earned the start at corner and has a couple of solid stops already.

Jake Fromm looks just as comfortable as you'd expect in the pocket, completing 12 of 16 passes for 157 yards and 2 touchdowns.

If you're the one person in the whole of Bulldog Nation who didn't expect to see Justin Fields early, well, you were wrong. The freshman is 2 of 2 passing for 16 yards but also ripped off a smooth 17 yard run when nothing was open on the second of his two drives under center in the first half. Elijah Holyfield then punched it in for the score.

As expected the Bulldog offense looks versatile and explosive, with 7 ‘Dawgs carrying the ball at least once in the first half and 6 with at least one reception.

Defensively the Red and Black have done precisely what you'd expect against an FCS opponent, dominating in terms of strength and speed while also executing reasonably well. After advancing to the Georgia 20 before missing a field goal in the first quarter, the Governors haven't made it onto the Georgia side of the field since.

As we start the second half let’s hope the ‘Dawgs continue to fine tune things, give the South Carolina Gamecocks a lot of looks to prepare for, and make it to the locker room with everyone healthy. Let’s bring this one home.

Go ‘Dawgs!!!
