Winning Smart Victory Post #21: Rose Bowl Edition

It is our intention to celebrate Georgia Bulldog Football Wins whenever and wherever they occur. The ugliness of any particular win is irrelevant for the purposes of the Winning Smart Victory Post.

It is therefore my deepest honor and privilege to bring to you this week’s edition of: Winning Smart Victory Post.

Coach Kirby Smart currently boasts a 21-6 record and a 0.778 winning percentage, having carded his twenty-first win overall over the University of Oklahoma Sooners to win the Rose Bowl and punch our ticket for the National Championship at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on January 8, 2018.

At the identical juncture in their careers:

Vince Dooley’s 27th game as head coach resulted in a Georgia Bulldog win over the University of Kentucky Wildcats giving Coach Dooley a record of 18-8-1 and 0.685 percentage.

Coach Mark Richt was 22-5 (0.8148) after beating the Clemson Tigers to open his third season as head coach.

Twenty seven games in to his head coaching career Kirby Smart is one game behind Coach Mark Richt and ahead of Coach Vince Dooley by 2 ½ games. He’s lead the Bulldogs to the College Football National Championship. And yes, he is holding his own versus two winningest coaches in Georgia Football History.

As always . . .

Go 'Dawgs!!! Beat Everybody!!!
