The tournament will run from August 28-September 10 this year and will have a day and evening session each day until September 3, which will then run only day sessions for the remaining four days. These four days are set to include the Men’s and Women’s Semifinals, Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Doubles Final, Women’s Final and Men’s Final. The Women’s Final is scheduled for September 5 while the Men’s Final will close the tournament the following day.

Ticket prices for both the Men’s and Women’s Final have decrease significantly since last year. This year’s Women’s Final average price, which will be played September 5 and will also include the Men’s Doubles Final, is currently $513.28 with a get-in price of $76. 2013’s Women’s Final, which also included the Men’s Doubles Final, had an average price of $384.71, marking an increase of 33.42% in secondary price this year. The get-in price for 2013’s Women’s Final and Men’s Mixed Doubles was $78.

In what is arguably the most anticipated matchup of the tournament each year, the Men’s Singles Final will see the second biggest decrease in ticket price on the secondary market this year, trailing just the Women’s and Men’s Doubles Final. As Rafael Nadal hopes to win his third U.S. Open, the average ticket price for the 2017 Men’s Final on September 10 is currently more than $900 with a get-in price of $149.

As Nadal and Williams each play for the chance at winning consecutive Singles Finals this year, their potential milestones have already begun to significantly decrease secondary ticket price while the tournament is still several months away. The two champions will look to continue their illustrious careers as Nadal plays for their 2017 U.S. Open title when the tournament begins August 28.
