Powerhouse squads San Miguel Beer, Barangay Ginebra, and TNT KaTropa are the consensus favorites in the 2017-18 PBA All-Filipino Cup, thanks to their intact rosters.
Members of the PBA's Board of Governors on Wednesday agreed that the three squads will likely compete for the Philippine Cup title, which is currently held by the Beermen.
"They have good players, they have extremely good coaches. Basta, mahusay sila," said Rain or Shine team governor Mert Mondragon in a press conference at Okada Manila.
"I agree," said Blackwater's Silliman Sy. "SMB has an intact line-up. Ginebra had a very good showing in the last conference. I think TNT will be quite the challenge for the two teams."
San Miguel's team governor, Robert Non, acknowledged that his squad is among the favorites, but also noted that Ginebra and TNT should give them a run for their money as they try to win a fourth consecutive All-Filipino title.
"They have bigs who can match-up with June Mar (Fajardo)," Non said of TNT. "Same is true for Ginebra. Greg (Slaughter) is back in the line-up."
