Some could argue that the former BYU breakout star Jimmer Fredette never really got a fair shot at the NBA. In July, Jimmer shined scoring 15.2 points, 2.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists in only 27.6 minutes playing for the Denver Nuggets summer league team. It finally had looked like Jimmer time but the Nuggets decided to not give him a contract.
The Shanghai Sharks are known as one of the better CBA teams and is the team that Yao Ming played on before the NBA. Now that Ming is the owner of the Sharks, he has made it his goal to go out and get NBA players that are talented but not given a real fair chance. Ming looked at Jimmer as the perfect opportunity.
Jimmer Fredette will be teaming up with the 16th overall pick Guerschon Yabusele. It looks like Yao Ming has done a pretty dandy job getting some NBA talent on his Shanghai Shark squad.
