Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant was suspended by the NFL for violating the substance abuse policy. Since being suspended we have seen some good stories saying That Bryant is taking his punishment seriously and trying to be a changed man. The Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert said that Bryant really had to find himself if he wants to stay in this league.
Bryant has a lot of free time on his hands now that he has been hit with a year long suspension. During his one year suspension, Martvis Bryant will serve as a high school football coach. Bryant's agent Thomas Santanello said that he truly loves working with kids and wants to get his life back on track. The school that Bryant will be coaching at is in Nevada.
My Opinion: Being a Pittsburgh Steeler fan I was hurt and saddened by the news of Martavis Bryant's suspension. I am kind of over it now and do not really care for Bryant as much. Although Bryant is a good wide receiver the Steelers have Antonio Brown, Markus Wheaton, Sammie Coates, etc. Sure Bryant will be missed but like a lot of players in the NFL he can be replaced. I would love to see Bryant get back on the field in a Steeler uniform and I would be happy if he could remain a Steeler for life. However if he doesn't change his ways then I won't mind to see him walk away. I am glad to see that Bryant is staying positive through out this situation and is doing to the right thing. I think it is really neat that he is working as a high school coach during his suspension.
