UPDATE: Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson scored an easy and less than thrilling victory over Rory “The Red King” MacDonald on Saturday night in Ottawa, Ontario. Two of the judges (Chris Lee and David Therien) scored the fight a complete sweep at 50-45 for Thompson, and the other (Sal D’Amato) somehow saw it as a close bout.

The UFC Ottawa features Canadian pugilist Rory MacDonald (18-3 MMA, 9-3 UFC), looking to bounce back after the grueling title loss to champ Robbie Lawler when he takes on No. 5-ranked Stephen Thompson (12-1 MMA, 7-1 UFC), who recently knocks out former titlist Johny Hendricks to mark his sixth straight win.




Co-headlining the Saturday's card, former lightweight title challenger Donald Cerrone (29-7 MMA, 16-4 UFC) has recently submitted Alex Oliveira in his UFC-welterweight debut, takes on veteran Canadian slugger Patrick Cote (23-9 MMA, 10-9 UFC), who’s on a 6-1 run.
