UAB heads to Louisiana Tech on Thursday night in a Conference USA battle.  The Blazers aren't as good a team as they have been in recent years, coming into the contest at only 7-6 in Conference USA and 16-10 overall.  They are coming off of a 61-56 over Rice that wasn't very impressive, but it did break a two game losing streak, so they'll take it.  They are still a threat to win the conference tournament, however.
