How to Use the Albedo 100

Have you ever decided to go out dressed in black from head to toe? Since every day is never the same, you spontaneously decide to go out with your friends after work and cycle back home very late at night. OOPS! You realize you forgot your bike lights!

If this situation seems familiar to you (personally, it’s my case too often) and you want to be seen even when in all-black, the
Albedo 100 will revolutionize your life,

This invisible, reflective technology can be found in three different type of sprays:

Invisible Bright

The Invisible Bright is ideal for the type of situation I described up above, but also for an evening walk or jog. All you need to do is Spray the invisible product on your backpack, your clothes, your shoes or even a stroller to increase nighttime visibility and security. This Invisible Bright is specially made to be sprayed on natural textiles and textiles with structure such as fleece, cotton and wool. Unfortunately, it does not perform well when sprayed on shiny synthetic materials and it is highly recommended to avoid leather or suede. Once applied on the fabric, it is invisible in daylight, but becomes reflective at sundown.

Furthermore, this spray is washable, water resistant and does not alter the colour of the garment. It only takes a few minutes to dry at room temperature and lasts about a week after application (will depend on the quality of the product used and the frequency of the use of the product.

Light Metallic

The second is the Light Metallic. It is a permanent & quick-drying lacquer that is grey in daylight and light-reflective in the dark. It can be applied to almost anything such as wood, metal, wheels on strollers, letter boxes, kayaks, tools, painted surfaces, pavement, fences, bicycles, bicycle helmets, gates, etc.

Even if the product is listed as permanent, there is still a way to remove it with a solvent such as white spirit.

Horses & Pets

The third type of spray, Horses and Pets, is designed specifically for animals. This one is non-permanent & light-reflective in the dark and has intended properties to be used on fur. The spray is semi-transparent and has a light grey shade once dry. It is washable, but also water resistant.

The spray is very useful for nighttime dog walking, when you feel like horse-riding or even if you want to leave the cat out in the alley and you want to make sure he’ll be seen.
By combining this spray to the Invisible Bright, you and your pet will definitely be visible.

How does it work?

The spray Invisible Bright is invisible at daylight so to be sure you applied enough coating, you can test it with a flashlight or by taking a picture with the flash of your camera. Once dried, the spray will reflect in the same direction as the light source, which means that only the person behind the light source will see the reflection.

The principle is pretty much the same for the Light Metallic as for the Invisible Bright except that this one is visible at daylight (so you can see how much you applied) and is permanent. When applied to pliable surfaces, these may stiffen up a bit so it is recommended to spray signs or symbols by cutting out stencils

As for the the Horse and Pets spray, it is recommended to apply it on limbs or on moving parts such as the tail to get the most out of the reflective properties. You can test the effect with a flash light or by taking a picture the flash on. This spray is easy to wash off with water, soap or shampoo and won’t affect the fur of your little loved one.

Instructions

It is important to always apply the spray outside or in a well-ventilated area.

    • Shake the aerosol spray for one minute. Repeat during application
    • Spray by holding the can in an upright position about 30cm from the surface. Apply a fine coat (around 1 to 3 seconds). Will dry in a few minutes at room temperature.
    • After use, clean the nozzle by spraying upside down for 1 to 2 seconds.
