The Lowe Alpine Cholatse 55: Your Go-To Travel Pack

Finding the perfect backpack for your adventures can be a challenge but with so many to choose from, the golden ticket isn’t so far away. Check out the Lowe Alpine Cholatse 55 pack; hydration compatible, adjustable back length and hip belt pockets are just some of the features we’ve gone crazy for.

One of the first things to notice in the Cholatse 55 is the attention to comfort. The aerator back panel (which is a combination of foam and mesh) promotes ventilation when the terrain gets tough or its warm and you start to break out in a sweat. The back panel is engineered in such a way that it retains comfort and stability while allowing airflow to cool your back when needed.

The adjustable chest and waist straps will help to secure your load whether heavy or not and keep the pack from moving around. (There’s even a built-in whistle for emergencies on the chest strap!) A secure load on your back is essential especially if you are traveling over rough and uneven terrain where an unstable bag may make you lose balance. Ensure your straps are tightened and the pack is secured, and you’re all set to go!

The waist strap with the pocket is a perfect touch! You can slip in a stick of lip balm or even a granola bar for an easily accessible snack along the hike.

One of the best features of the Lower Alpine Cholatse is that it is not only hydration compatible, but it is also equipped with an integral raincover. (Hydration compatible packs are great for long hikes; you eliminate having to carry a water bottle and you can usually fit more water in a hydration bladder than what goes into a water bottle). This is great if you run into some showers along your route. Throw on the raincover and voila! Everything in your pack stays squeaky dry so when it’s time to set up camp you’ve got warm and dry clothes to change into.

The Cholatse has a top-loading system that makes packing and unpacking the pack a breeze! There’s even a lower entry pocket where you can hide stinky, dirty socks or stow away your bulkier items. You can simply stuff everything into the pack at the end of your weekend and deal with it when you get home. Spend more time enjoying the outdoors and less time packing up. Not too shabby!

Secure your sleeping pad onto the top of the pack and attach any frequently needed gear such as hiking poles or a water bottle (if you opted to go without the hydration system) to the straps on the side and hit the trials.

The Lowe Alpine Cholatse 55 is the perfect pack for weekend warriors. With all the features for added comfort and ease, you’ll be planning your next weekend adventure before the one you’re on is even finished!
