Asked about the transfer speculation surrounding Arsenal at his pre-match media conference ahead of Saturday’s trip to Watford, Wenger gave Gunners supporters some positive transfer news.
“We are working on deals… will we sign anyone before the end of the window? I’m 99% confident,” Wenger said.
Arsenal have signed Switzerland midfielder Granit Xhaka in a £33m deal from Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach at the start of the summer.
Wenger has also completed deals for Bolton Wanderers defender Rob Holding and Japanese forward Takuma Asano.
The Gunners haven’t won either of their opening Premier League games following a 4-3 defeat by Liverpool and a goalless draw with Leicester City.
