Mario Balotelli has been filling his spare time with some kickboxing as the Liverpool striker continues to be frozen out at Anfield.
The Italy international was omitted from Jurgen Klopp’s Reds squad for their pre-season tour of California amid ongoing uncertainty surrounding the centre-forward’s future at Anfield.
Balotelli has been training with the Liverpool Reserves in recent days and the 26-year-old has been enjoying himself after he snapped a selfie with his young team-mates earlier this week.
However, the former AC Milan and Inter Milan Striker appeared to hint at some pent up energy in his latest Instagram post after Balotelli uploaded a video of himself kick-boxing.
Balotelli wrote on the photo-sharing app:
Now I can go to sleep..( don’t take me to seriously) #goodnighteveryone ..”
The Italian striker scored one goal in 26 appearances for Liverpool in 2014/15 before the ex-Manchester City star was sent on loan to former club Milan last season.
Liverpool finished in eighth place in the Premier League last season after the German head coach took over the reins from Brendan Rodgers in October.
