Karim Benzema has played down speculation linking him with a summer transfer away from Manchester United by insisting that he is happy at Real Madrid.
The France international striker has been touted as a potential target for the Red Devils following Jose Mourinho’s appointment as the club’s new manager.
Benzema helped Real Madrid win the club’s 11th Champions League title on Saturday night as Los Blancos beat Atletico Madrid on penalties.
The striker has long been linked with a move to the Premier League and was reportedly on Arsenal’s radar last summer.
However, the forward has moved to distance himself from claims that he could be set for a Transfer away from Real Madrid this summer by insisting that he is happy at the Bernabeu.
Benzema is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail: “I am happy here and I hope to be here for many years.”
The 28-year-old added: “I thank the people in Madrid for being there for me and my family. Thanks to everybody because they are part of my life and we are going to be used to winning titles.”
