Martin Skrtel is being tipped to leave Liverpool this summer after the centre-half’s agent confirmed that his client is “90 per cent certain” to quit Anfield.
The Slovakia International was out-of-favour in the second half of the season under Jurgen Klopp as the German favoured Dejan Lovren, Mamadou Sakho and Kolo Toure.
The former Borussia Dortmund manager has already agreed a deal to sign Schalke defender Joel Matip in the Summer transfer window, adding further competition for places.
Skrtel’s Agent Karol Csonto confirmed that the Slovakian is set to leave the Reds in the summer after a eight-year spell at the Merseyside outfit.
“Besiktas is one of those interested in Martin, but we’re haven’t reached a point where I can confirm Martin is going there, or anywhere else,” Csonto is quoted as saying by talkSPORT.
“I can say that it is 90 percent sure Martin will leave Liverpool, but it is far from closed.”
Slovakia international Skrtel has made just one Premier League start since December.
Liverpool finished in eighth place in the Premier League table after a disappointing end to the season.
