Gary Neville admitted his surprise that Arsenal didn’t “throw the kitchen sink” at Manchester City after Raheem Sterling’s goal secured a 1-0 win at The Etihad.
Manchester City were looking to return to winning ways against an Arsenal team that had won three of their opening four Premier League games.
The Citizens managed to seize control of the game despite Arsenal’s measured start when Raheem Sterling finished from close range.

Sky Sports pundit Neville gave his verdict on Arsenal’s defensive-minded performance in Saturday evening’s 1-0 loss at Manchester City.
“They haven’t looked desperate to get forward,” Neville told Sky Sports"They’re a little too rigid. You’d like to see the kitchen sink being thrown for the final few minutes."
Neville added: "They played well but they’ve been a bit flat when I expected them to take real risks. I expected them to cause Manchester City some anxiety in the final 20 minutes but they haven’t really done that."
Pep Guardiola's side have won their last seven games against Arsenal at The Etihad in the Premier League.
Manchester City will make the trip to in-form West Ham United in their next Premier League fixture at the London Stadium next Saturday.
Arsenal, meanwhile, will host Leicester City at The Emirates on Sunday in pursuit of their fourth win of the Premier League season.
