Real Madrid are eyeing a potential £100m deal to sign Marcus Rashford from Manchester United in the summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun is reporting that the Spanish side are refusing to give up in their pursuit of the England international as they turn their attentions towards the signings they could make at the end of the season.
The same story says that Real Madrid are hoping to make a move for Rashford before he agrees a new contract at Old Trafford – and that they could splash out as much as £100m to land their man.
The same article claims that the striker is holding out on talks over a new contract at Manchester United until the summer – and that has given Real Madrid hope that they may be able to sign him.
It is claimed in the same story that Real Madrid contacted Rashford’s camp late last year to sound out the possibility of a move to the Bernabeu.
Meanwhile, the article says that Manchester United are prepared to more than triple Rashford’s wages to as much as £200,000 a week, with the 21-year-old currently earning around £60,000 a week at Old Trafford.
Rashford’s current contract at Manchester United expires in the summer of 2020 but the Red Devils do have the option to extend it by a further year.
Manchester United will take on Leicester City in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
