Arsenal are one of three Premier League clubs who want to sign AS Monaco midfielder Youri Tielemans on loan, according to a report in England.
Sky Sports, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that the Gunners have made an offer to sign the 21-year-old on a temporary deal before Thursday’s deadline.
The same article states that Arsenal have retained an interest in Tielemans, Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic and Everton star Idrissa Gueye.
According to the same story, the Gunners will face plenty of competition for the Belgium international from within the Premier League.
Newcastle United and West Ham are also keen to rescue the Ligue 1 star from struggling AS Monaco for the remaining months of the top-flight campaign.
Tielemans has scored five goals and has made one assist this season, but the Belgian star has been unable to help AS Monaco hoist themselves out of the relegation zone.
The AS Monaco star scored 18 times in 53 games in all competitions during his final season at Anderlecht to earn a move to the Principality in 2017.
Arsenal haven’t made any signings in the January transfer window despite being linked with a host of midfielders, including FC Barcelona utility midfielder Denis Suarez.
The Gunners were 2-1 winners against Cardiff City at The Emirates on Tuesday night.
